Educational Qualification▶ Eligibility:- NTC/ NAC (NCVT certificate in relevant trade) or Diploma / Degree from a recognized Board of Technical Education/University or equivalent. The candidates undergoing training under Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) who are going to appear in final exam of All India Trade Test (AITT) during July’ 2020, may also be considered for appearing in the AICET but their final admission in CITS courses will be subjected to successful completion of their training under CTS The candidates who are going to appear in final semester of Degree/ Diploma during July’ 2020, may also be considered for appearing in the AICET but their final admission in CITS courses will be subjected to successful completion of their Degree/Diploma |

About CITS
The Objective of the Craft Instructor Training Scheme is to train Instructor trainees in the techniques of transferring hands-on skills, inorder to train semi-skilled/skilled manpower for industry. Structure of the training programme is so designed that Comprehensive training both in skills and training methodology is imparted to the instructor trainees to enable them to be conversant with techniques of transferring hands-on skills andto train skilled manpower for the industry. At present craft instructors are trained in 34 Trades and the training is conducted in 28 National Skill Training Institutes (NSTI), 6 State Government Institute of Training of Trainers (IToT) and 12 Private Institute of Training of Trainers. These courses are conducted under the aegis of National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT). On successful completion of the course trainee shall be awarded Craft Instructor Training Certificate by NCVT recognized by Government of India
DGT conducts All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) for admission to Craft Instructor Training through centralized Counselling. Online applications are invited from candidates interested to appear for All India Common EntranceTest (AICET) for Craft Instructor Training Course.
CITS Selection Process:- Candidate Will Be Selected On The Basis of All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) For Admission To Craft Instructor Training Through Centralized Counselling.
CITS Exam Pattern:- The online entrance examination will be of two hours’ duration and the question papers for the entrance test will be of the following pattern:
a) 75% questions of objective type(multiplechoicetype)of ITI level related to the trade applied for admission
b) 25% questions of objective type pertaining to Aptitude (Logical, Numeric andReasoning).
CITS Result/ Merit List:- The All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) Result/ Merit List Will Be Uploaded On Official Website Of NIMI.
