JEE (Main) 2023 Notification PDF
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued online notification for Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) 2023 Session-2 April for taking admission into B.E./B. Tech or B. Arch or B.Planning courses. All eligible aspirants can download entrance test Information Bulleting in PDF through link provided below, before apply online must read the notification carefully to proceed further.
What is JEE Main?
The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) comprises two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs.
Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the Country.
Selection Process of JEE Main
Conversion of the raw score in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and the conversion of the total into NTA scores.
Overall merit shall be prepared by merging NTA scores of all shifts of all days.
Mode of Examination for JEE Mains
JEE (Main) - 2023 will be conducted in the following modes:
- Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.
- Paper 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
- Paper 2B (B. Planning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II), and Planning Based Questions (Part-III) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.

*Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B.
Paper 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in Pen and Paper Based (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.

Eligibility for Admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs
For the candidates who qualify for admission in the NITs, IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the Class 12 examination or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 examination conducted by respective Boards. For SC / ST candidates, the qualifying marks should be 65% in the Class 12 examination.
The Admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs will be based on the announced qualifying Percentile by the individual Institutes.
How to Download Admit Card for JEE Main
The e-Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/, subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility conditions and receipt of the prescribed application fee by NTA.
The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website through application number and password. The candidate will appear in the examination at the given Centre on the date and shift/timing as indicated in his/her e-Admit Card.
How to Download Answer Key of JEE Main Exam
The NTA will display Provisional Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/, with a Public Notice, issued to this effect on the said website, to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a nonrefundable online payment of Rs.200/- per question challenged as processing charges. The provisional Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days.
How To Scan Image For JEE Mains 2023 Application
Upload Scanned Images of the Candidate’s Photograph, Signature, Category Certificate (if applicable), and PwD Certificate (wherever applicable):
- The recent photograph should be either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
- Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible).
- The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly legible).
- The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb (clearly legible)
- The size of the scanned copy of the Category certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS etc.) should be in pdf between 50kb to 300kb (clearly legible).
- The size of the scanned copy of the PwD certificate should be in pdf between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible)
How to Apply For JEE Mains 2023
For ease of the candidates, Application Form has been upgraded so that candidates can fill the Application Form in small sections. The updated process is as below -
- Step 1 - Registration Form
- Step 2 - Application Form
And this includes filling of personal details, applying for examination cities, qualification details, additional details (if any), and document upload)
- Step 3 - Fee Payment. Pay fee through any Debit/ Credit/ UPI Card using SBI/ Canara/ HDFC/ ICICI/ Paytm on-line gateway payment facility/ Net Banking.
- Step 4 - confirmation Page. The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form for a session will be generated only after successful payment of the fee by the Candidate. A copy of the Confirmation Page of JEE (Main) - 2023 will be sent to the registered e-mail address of the Candidates, either you can download your confirmation page after final submission.
