Eligibility Criteria For BPSC Assistant

Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. It is mandatory for the applicant to be a graduate degree holder by the due last date for receipt of applications.

Age Limit (Age as on 01.08.2022):

  • Minimum Age 21 years
  • Maximum Age For Unreserved (Male) - 37 years
  • Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes (Male and Female) - 40 years
  • For Unreserved Female 40 years and
  • Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Male and Female) - 42 years

BPSC Assistant Notification 2022

Online applications are invited in the prescribed form from eligible candidates for appointment to total 44 (Forty Four) posts of Assistant in Bihar Public Service Commission Office, Patna. Detailed guidelines for filling online application are displayed on the website of Bihar Public Service Commission, Patna www.bpsc.bih.nic.in.

Selection Process for Assistant in BPSC

The exam will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, preliminary competitive examination will be conducted. Separate applications will be invited for the Main Competitive Examination from the successful candidates in the Preliminary Examination. In case of discrepancy between the information given in the application in the preliminary and main examination, the applicant may be debarred from appearing in the main examination.

BPSC Assistant Pre Exam Syllabus and Scheme

One paper in the Preliminary Examination will be of General Knowledge. The subject of the examination and the number of questions will be as follows:

  1. General Studies - The number of questions will be 50.
  2. General Science and Mathematics - The number of questions will be 50.
  3. Mental Ability Test - The number of questions will be 50.

Preliminary Examination Important Details

All questions will be objective type and multiple choice. Each question will be of 01 (one) mark.

The duration of the exam will be 2 hours 15 minutes.

The medium of language of question paper in General Knowledge Preliminary Examination will be Hindi / English.

BPSC Assistant Main Exam Syllabus and Scheme

There will be two papers for the main examination:

Question Paper 1: Subject - General Hindi

  1. The questions for this exam will be objective type and multiple choice.
  2. The qualifying marks in Hindi subject is 30 percent which is compulsory, but it will not be counted for the purpose of merit list. The candidates who will not get 30 percent marks in this subject, their second subject of the main examination, General Knowledge (Main) (Paper-2) will not be evaluated and they will not be considered qualified in the main examination.
  3. Hindi will be the medium of language in the examination of Paper-1
  4. The total number of questions in this subject will be 100. Each question will carry 01 (one) mark.
  5. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours 15 minutes

Question Paper 2: Subject - General Knowledge

  1. The questions for this exam will be objective type and multiple choice.
  2. The topics and number of questions in question paper 2 general knowledge will be as follows:
    1. General Studies- The number of questions will be 50.
    2. General Science and Mathematics - The number of questions will be 50.
    3. Mental Ability Test - The number of questions will be 50.
  3. The medium of language of the question paper in the General Knowledge Main Examination will be Hindi / English.
  4. Each question will carry 01 (one) mark.
  5. The duration of the examination will be of 2 hours 15 minutes.

The Bihar Public Service Commission popularly know as BPSC has released online notification for recruitment of Assistant for filling of 44 vacant post. Pay scale for this recruitment will be 7th pay level, and salary will be Rs. 44,900 - 1,42,400 /-.

  5. Log into your account by filling of your user id and password in login section, then pay the requisite application fees.
