Selection Process of SSC Constable GD
The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination (DME/ RME) and Document Verification.
SSC GD Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026
Computer Based Examination: The Computer based examination will consist of one objective type paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each, with the following composition:

- All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The computer based examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and in 13 Regional languages viz. (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri, (viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia, (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu and (xiii) Urdu.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

Pay Level–3 (Rs.21,000 to 69,100) for the post of Sepoy in NCB and Pay Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100) for all others posts.
How To Download SSC GD Admit Card 2026
Facility for downloading of SSC GD Admit Card will be provided at the websites of Regional Offices of the Commission as well as on the website of CRPF i.e. http://www.crpf.gov.in. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the websites of the Commission i.e. ssc.gov.in, Regional Office concerned and the Nodal CAPF i.e. CRPF for the updates on examination process and download of Admit Cards for each stage of examination.
SSC GD Answer Key 2026
Tentative SSC GD Answer Key 2026 of the Computer Based Examination will be placed on the website of the Commission after the Examination. Candidates may go through the Answer Keys and submit online representations, if any, within the stipulated time limit on payment of Rs 100/- per question.
SSC GD Cut Off Marks 2026
Candidates scoring following cut-off marks (without adding bonus marks to NCC certificate holders) will be considered eligible for short-listing to the next stage i.e. PET/ PST:
- UR : 30%
- OBC/ EWS : 25%
- All other categories : 20%
NCC Certificate holders will be granted following incentive marks provisionally which will be added to the normalized scores of the candidates:
- NCC ‘C’ Certificate : 5% of total marks
- NCC ‘B’ Certificate : 3% of total marks
- NCC ‘A’ Certificate : 2% of total marks
SSC GD 2026 Image Uploading Instructions
In the online application form, candidates are required to upload the scanned color passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). The photograph should not be more than three months old. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). The photograph should be without cap, spectacles and frontal view of the face should be visible. If the proper photograph is not uploaded by a candidate, his candidature will be cancelled
