The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) invites online applications for Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2023 for selection of teachers in class 1 to 5 (UTET-I) and class 6 to 8 (UTET-II) in all the government school of Uttarakhand. Eligibility Criteria for UTET 2023

UTET I Class I - IV (for Primary Teachers)

  1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./ B.T.C.). OR

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./ B.T.C.), obtained in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Standards and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. OR

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and two year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR

    Graduation (or its equivalent) and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./ B.T.C.). OR

    Graduation with minimum 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).

  2. Shikshamitras working on honorarium in government primary schools, who have passed two years D.El.D. training from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) after the permission of the State Government.

UTET II Class VI - VIII (for Upper Primary Teachers)

  • Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed two years Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./ D.El.Ed.). OR
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed Bachelor of Education B.Ed./ L.T./ Shiksha Shastri (Institutional only). OR
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and B.Ed./ L.T./ Shiksha Shastri (Institutional only) in Education as per the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. received accordingly. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed B.Ed. (Special Education) recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). OR
  • Graduation or Post Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed B.Ed. Provided that the condition of minimum percentage of marks at graduation level will not be applicable in case of incumbents who have enrolled in Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course before July 29, 2011.

UTET 2023 Syllabus and Test Pattern

  1. State Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) is two tier. A candidate can appear in any one examination or both the examinations at a time. Both the (UTET I & II) level examinations will be conducted on the same day in two shifts. If a candidate wants to appear in both primary and upper primary level (UTET I & II) examinations, then only one application form has to be filled for this. It will have to be marked clearly at the place specified on the application form.
  2. Teacher Eligibility Test will be based on multiple choice questions. Each question will be of 01 mark. There will be no negative marking in any question. The exam duration will be of 02 hours 30 minutes and the number of questions will be 150. Question papers other than language papers will be printed bilingually i.e. Hindi and English. The division of marks will be as follows:-

Minimum Qualifying Marks for UTET 2023

  • In the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), the minimum pass mark is 60% for general category candidates and 40% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, disabled candidates, freedom fighters, dependents and ex-servicemen (self). The minimum pass marks for the category candidate will be 50%.
  • A candidate who has passed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will not have any claim/ right for appointment/ selection, as this examination is only one of the essential qualifications prescribed for appointment/ selection. The appointment/ selection of teachers will be done under the relevant teacher service rules of the state government and the rules/ instructions issued from time to time.

UTET 2023 Admit Card

Admit cards will be made available to the candidates for appearing in the examination on the official departmental website of Uttarakhand School Education Council. Admit cards will not be sent by post, all the candidates will download their admit cards from the website. On uploading of admit cards on the website, its information will be given to the candidates through newspapers and SMS/ mail in due course. Candidates are advised to visit the Council's official departmental website www.ubse.uk.gov.in for the DEPARTMENTAL EXAM/ UTET icon from time to time.

UTET 2023 Result

After the completion of the examination, after careful examination of the OMR Answer Sheet, the result will be declared by the Council within the stipulated period. The result of the examination will be displayed on the website of the council and the applicants will be informed about the declaration of the result through newspapers. Certificate-cum-mark sheet will also be issued to all the successful applicants through registered post.
