Applicants will be selected on the basis of written test (Computer Based Test - CBT) and skill test (Typing Test) as per recruitment notification, for more details you can read.
In the written examination of the first part, there will be a question paper related to computer knowledge of "CCC" level of NIELIT, in which there will be 50 objective type questions and each question will be of 01 mark. That is, this exam will be of 50 marks. Negative 1/4 marks will be awarded for every wrong answer i.e. 1/4 mark will be deducted.
It will be mandatory to obtain at least 20 marks in this examination of the first part of computer knowledge, otherwise, in case the candidate concerned is not considered eligible, the second part of his written examination will not be evaluated.
Second Part will be consist of written examination as given below.
Third Part: On the basis of the merit of the marks obtained in the written examination of the second part, the number of candidates to be invited for the Hindi and English typing test will be decided by the Electricity Service Commission. Provided that the number of candidates to be invited under any circumstances shall not be less than three times the number of vacancies.

The admit card for the examination and proficiency test will have to be downloaded by the candidate from the website www.uppcl.org and its information will be sent on the registered e-mail and SMS given in the application form. Admit cards will not be sent by post.
