CAT 2023 Notification PDF
CAT 2023 is a prerequisite for admission to various Post Graduate and Fellow/ Doctorate programmes of IIMs. CAT 2023 scores are allowed to be used by listed non-IIM member institutions. The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct a computer-based Common Admission Test 2023 (CAT 2023) on November 26, 2023 in three sessions. CAT 2023 Admission Process
Please note that each IIM is independent to mandate their own eligibility criteria (including academic cut-offs and relative weights) and follow different selection processes. Performance in the CAT 2023 examination is an important component for consideration in the selection process. IIMs may also use the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short-listing of candidates at various stages of the selection process. CAT 2023 Syllabus and Test Pattern
Duration of the Test :
The duration of the test will be 120 minutes. The Test will have the following three sections:
- Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
- Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
- Section III: Quantitative Ability
Candidates will be allotted exactly 40 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowedto switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section. Tutorials to understand the format of the test will be available on the CAT website. Candidates are advised towork on the tutorials available on the CAT website well in advance.

CAT 2023 Admit Card
The Admit Card will be available for view and print from Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 5:00 p.m. onwards. The Admit Card will appear only if your online application form is submitted successfully. You will receive an automated email confirmation upon successful submission. You can then log into the CAT website using your registered User ID and view/print the Admit Card.
CAT 2023 Score Card/ Result
Candidate's CAT 2023 scorecards will be made accessible on the CAT website. Candidates may also be intimated individually by SMS. The CAT results are likely to be declared by the second week of January, 2024. The CAT 2023 score is valid only till December 31, 2024 and will accordingly be accessible on the website. Thereafter, no queries related to the issuance of CAT 2023 scorecards will be entertained.
Information related to the CAT 2023 results will be tentatively available starting from the second week of January 2024 on this website. The list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of the respective IIMs. Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. The criteria for shortlisting vary across IIMs. Please visit the admission websites of the respective IIMs for further information.
How To Apply Online For CAT 2023 At iimcat.ac.in
You can register for CAT 2023 at the official CAT 2023 website, www.iimcat.ac.in between 10:00 am on August 2, 2023 and 5:00 pm on September 13, 2023. The registration steps are as follows:
- Register to generate unique User ID and Password.
- Log in with the generated User ID and Password to fill in the Application form.
- Submit Application form after entering details and making online payment to complete the registration and application process.
During registration, the mobile number and email address provided by the domestic candidates will be verified through an OTP sent to that mobile number and email address. Once the OTP is verified, the User ID and the Password will be sent on the registered email address and or on the registered mobile number to complete the registration process. Overseas candidates will receive the OTP on their email address only. Once the OTP is verified, both the User ID and Password will be sent to the registered email address. Using these credentials, you can login as a Registered User to fill up the Application form. Applicants do not have to complete the application form in a single session. Applicants can save their current session and login later to complete their Application Form. This can be done multiple times.
Once the payment is made and the Application Form is submitted, applicants will not be allowed to make any changes. You can only view and print the Application Form after submitting the Application Form. Details are available on the Application submission page.
