JEE Mains 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria:

For appearing in the JEE (Main) - 2025, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class XII / equivalent examination in 2023, 2024 or appearing in 2025 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) - 2025 examination.

List of Qualifying Examinations (QE):

1. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board.
2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
3. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy
4. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the NIOS with a minimum of five subjects.
5. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the AIU.
6. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
7. A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
8. GCE examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
9. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
10. Candidates who have completed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of AIU to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII Examination.
11. In case the Class XII Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.

JEE Mains Registration 2025 Process

Register for the Online Application Form and note down the system-generated Application Number. The candidate should provide the required details while filling the Online Application Form and he/she is also required to create PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer. After successful submission of the personal details, an Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future reference/correspondence. The generated application number will be used/referred for both Sessions of JEE (Main) - 2025. For subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system generated Application Number and created Password by him/ herself.

JEE Main 2025 List of Required Documents

Upload Scanned Images of Candidate's Photograph, Signature, Class X or Equivalent Certificate/ Marks-sheet and PwD/ PwBD Certificate (wherever applicable):

1. The recent passport size photograph should be in colour with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background. Photograph should be named as 'Photograph' and in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible) between 10 kb to 300 kb.
2. Signature file should be named as 'Signature' and in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible) between 10 kb to 50 kb.
3. Scanned copy of Class X or Equivalent Certificate/ Marks-sheet should be named as 'Class-X Certificate' and should be a pdf between 10 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).
4. Scanned copy of PwD/ PwBD certificate should be named as 'Disability Certificate' and should be a pdf between 10 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).
