NVS Class 9th Admission Form 2025-26 Apply Online
Updated On : 11 August 2025 08:32 AMNavodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) invites online applications for taking admission in Class 9 in all JNVs through Lateral Entry Selection Test to the academic session 2026-27. All eligible and interested boys and girls can apply online at NVS official website navodaya.gov.in from 30th July 2025 onwards to till the application last date 23rd September 2025 for 9th class admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs).

NVS Class 9 Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
- Only those candidates who are bonafide residents of the district concerned where wish to apply and should have resident of the same district.
- Only those candidates who are bonafide residents & studying Class VIII during the Academic Session 2025-26 in one of the Govt./ Govt. recognized schools of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is functioning and where admission is sought, are eligible.
- District of residence and district of class VIII study should be same in respect of candidates who desire to apply for admission to class IX (session 2026-27) in the JNV located in the same district.
NVS Class 9 Selection Test Details 2025
Selection Test will consist of questions from the subjects of Mathematics, General Science, English and Hindi. Difficulty level of the test paper shall be of Class VIII.

NOTE :
- The test will be of objective type with 2 ½ hours duration without any break. The candidate has to score minimum qualifying marks as per NVS criteria in all the 04 subjects. However, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in three subjects, Mathematics + Science +One of the two languages in which candidate has scored more marks.
- Centre for examination shall be the JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA of the district concerned/ any other centre allotted by NVS.
- Medium of Language for Examination will be English/ Hindi. Medium of language shall not be changed after filling up the form.
- Students have to answer in OMR sheet.
