STET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Paper-I (Secondary)

विनिर्दिष्ट विषय/ विषय समूह में कम से कम 50 प्रतिशत अंक सहित स्नातक अथवा स्नातकोत्तर में (अथवा इसके समतुल्य) उत्तीर्ण एवं (बी०एड०)। OR

स्नातक अथवा स्नातकोत्तर (अथवा इसके समतुल्य) में कम से कम 45 प्रतिशत अंकों सहित स्नातक/ स्नातकोत्तर तथा 13.11.2002 को अधिसूचित राष्ट्रीय अध्यापक शिक्षा परिषद् (मान्यता के लिए आवेदन पत्र, आवेदन पत्र जमा करने की समय-सीमा, अध्यापक शिक्षा कार्यक्रमों की मान्यता के लिए मानदंडों और मानकों का निर्धारण तथा नए पाठ्यक्रम अथवा प्रशिक्षण शुरू करने के लिए अनुमति) विनियम 2002 तथा 10.12.2007 को अधिसूचित राष्ट्रीय अध्यापक शिक्षा परिषद् (मान्यता मानदंड और क्रियाविधि) विनियम-2007 के अनुसार राष्ट्रीय अध्यापक शिक्षा परिषद् से मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान से शिक्षा में स्नातक (बी०एड०)। OR

विनिर्दिष्ट विषय / विषय समूह में बी०ए०एड०/ बी० एससी० एड० की चार वर्षीय उपाधि।

Paper-II (Higher Secondary)

विनिर्दिष्ट विषय में कम से कम 50 प्रतिशत अंकों सहित स्नातकोत्तर उत्तीर्ण एवं बी०एड०। अथवा

Bihar STET Syllabus 2026

Syllabus: For the subjects covered under Paper-I (Secondary) the graduate level course in the state universities and for the subjects covered under Paper-II (Senior Secondary) the graduate (reputation) level course in the state universities.

Question Pattern: In the questions asked in the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test, 100 marks will be from the specified subject matter and 50 marks will be based on teaching skills, other competencies:

  • Specified subject matter - 100
  • Pedagogy and other skills - 50

Duration of Entrance Exam: The duration of Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET), 2026, conducted by Computer Based Test (CBT) method, will be of 150 minutes (2:30 hours).

Structure:

  1. The questions in the eligibility test will be multiple choice.
  2. Each question will be of 1 mark.
  3. There will be no negative marking.

BSTET Qualifying Marks 2026

In the light of General Administration Department's resolution number-2374 dated 16.07.2007, the passing score of Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test, 2026 will be as follows:-

Bihar STET Certificate 2026

  1. Passing certificate will be issued to all the candidates who have passed in Paper-1 and Paper-1 in Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test, 2026.
  2. In the light of departmental order memorandum- 11 / vi.-34/ 2009-893 dated 22.06.2021, the validity of the passing certificate of Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test, 2026 will be lifetime.

BSEB STET Normalization Process 2026

  1. Competitive examinations to be conducted by Computer Based Test (CBT) method, in which the number of candidates. Is relatively high, is organized in more than one sitting / dates. In such examinations, due to the different difficulty level of the question papers in different shifts in these examinations. The method of Normalization is adopted before preparing the result, so that there is no advantage or disadvantage to the candidates of a particular shift. Therefore, in this examination also the result will be published by adopting the Normalization method.
  2. Normalization process will be done with Variation of Z-Score Normalization Method. Whatever the Normalized Score of the candidate after the said process, the same will be the score of the candidate. The pass or failure of the candidates will be determined on the basis of this score (Normalised Score) according to the pass percentage given in paragraph number-07, and not on the basis of Raw Score (Raw Score = marks obtained on the basis of correct question and answer).
  3. For example; If the Raw Score of a general category candidate is 76 in the examination of 150 marks and after the normalization process, his Normalized Score comes to 74.90, then the result of the candidate will be declared failed because of not obtaining the prescribed passing marks (50% of 150 = 75).
  4. Although there is no provision of negative marking for wrong answers in the examination, but in the process of Normalization, in case of wrong answers to relatively more questions, there may be a negative effect in the Normalization Score.

Bihar STET Certificate Uploading List 2026

Candidates shall upload self attested copy of the following certificates:

  1. Matriculation (10th) certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth).
  2. Intermediate (12th) certificate and mark sheet.
  3. Graduation certificate and mark sheet.
  4. Post graduation certificate and mark sheet.
  5. Certificate and mark sheet of B.Ed.
  6. Other Educational Qualification (if any).
  7. Residential certificate issued by the competent authority
  8. Caste Certificate by Competent Authority for SC/ST candidates.
  9. Latest non-creamy layer certificate from the competent authority for MBC/OBC candidates
  10. Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed form in case of claim of disability.
  11. Certificate of being Ex-Serviceman for availing the benefit of relaxation in upper age limit for Ex-Servicemen.

How To Apply Online For Bihar STET 2026

  1. The process of application on the website https://stetregistration.cbrt.co.in will be completed in three steps:- (i) Registration, (ii) Payment, (iii) Form filling.
  2. Registration - In the first instance, the candidate has to click on “Register (New Candidate)”. After that of Initial Registration. The page will open. On the registration page applicants will fill their respective information and click on the submit button. After submission, application to the applicant through SMS on his registered mobile and registered e-mail ID. Number (User ID) and Password will be sent, using which you will be able to login to make payment.
  3. Paying the Examination Fee- After login, the option of Make Payment will open. After that, by selecting any one Payment Gateway from the Select Payment Gateway, we will make sure to make the payment. Payment of Examination Fee through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI will be allowed.
  4. Form filling - With the help of the application number and password provided on the mobile and e-mail of the applicant. On login to the main page of the portal, the application form page will open. Some boxes in the application form will be pre-filled, which Filled by the applicant at the time of registration. On that page candidates will fill their personal and academic details.
  5. Upload color photograph and signature: Scanned size of the photograph of the candidate from 20 kb to 50 kb. And the dimension should be 3.5cm x 4.5 cm and the scanned size of the signature should be between 10kb to 30kb.
  6. The colored photograph should be recent and the background of the photograph should be white or light colored and should be taken in front of the camera. The eyes and face of the candidate should be clearly visible in the photograph.
  7. Upload all the required certificates.
  8. Before filling the application form, candidates should re-check the online examination application form filled by them by clicking on the VIEW button. If there is any error in the online filled application form, then by clicking on the edit button and correcting your desired details, click on the save button to save your application.
  9. After filling the application form, applicants shall download a hard copy of their application form and keep it safe. The candidature of the candidate will be canceled if any kind of wrong information is given in the filled application.
