Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) invites online applications for Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET) 2024 for the post of Assistant Professor and admission in Ph.D. in Universities and Colleges of Jharkhand. All eligible and interested candidates can apply online at JPSC official website jpsc.gov.in from 16th September 2025 to till the application last date 06th October 2025 for Jharkhand Eligibility Test JET 2024.

Eligibility Criteria For JPSC JET 2024

UR/ EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent examination. The BC-I/ BC-II/ SC/ ST/ PwBD category candidates of Jharkhand state only who have secured at least 50% marks in Master's degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this JET.
Candidates who are pursuing their Master's degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master's degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test.
The Ph.D degree holders whose Master's level examination have been completed by 19 September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in JET.
Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post Graduation only. In case the subject of a candidate is not included in the list of JET subjects, the candidate may appear in UGC-NET/ UGC CSIR Test held on a regular basis.

Jharkhand Eligibility Test JET Exam Scheme 2025

The Examination shall be conducted in OMR (pen and paper) mode only.

The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of objective type multiple choice questions. There will be no break between papers.

I	100	50	The questions in Paper I intends to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.	3 hours (180 minutes) without any break. II	200	100	This is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess domain knowledge.
