RRB Technician Eligibility Criteria 2024

Technician Grade I Signal

1. Bachelor of Science In Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Instrumentation OR B.Sc. in a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams of Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/Instrumentation. OR

2. Three years Diploma in Engineering in the above basic streams or in combination of any of above basic streams. OR

Degree in Engineering in the above basic streams or in combination of any of above basic streams.

Technician Grade I

Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institution of NCVT/ SCVT in the notified trade. OR Matriculation/ SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.

RRB Technician Recruitment Process 2024

Railway Technician Medium of Examination 2024

Questions for CBT will be available in English, Hindi and 13 regional Indian languages (viz., Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu). Accordingly, candidates must choose their medium of examination from any one amongst those listed in the ONLINE application form. CBT questions will be displayed in the language opted and in English.

RRB Technician Admit Card 2024

  1. Information and details regarding the CBT schedules and link for downloading the E-call letters will be given on the websites of the RRBs. Eligible candidates will also be informed via SMS and email.
  2. Eligible candidates can download their e-call letter (and for scribe, where applicable) for the CBT from the RRB websites about 4 (four) days before the date of CBT. However, intimation about the city of examination shall be given about 10 (ten) days in advance.
  3. No call letter will be sent to candidates by post.
  4. Detailed information and instructions regarding the CBT will be given along with the e-call letter. Candidates should read and follow them scrupulously. Failure to comply with the instructions may lead to their disqualification.

RRB Technician Documents Upload Instructions 2024

  1. Recent, clear colour passport size photograph (against a plain white background) of the candidates in JPEG image (size 30 to 70 KB) - without wearing dark glasses and/ or cap.

    Note: Candidates must have at least 12 (twelve) copies of the same photograph for future use during the recruitment process.

  2. Scanned JPEG image of candidate's signature in running handwriting (size 30 to 70 KB)
  3. SC/ ST Certificate (only for candidates requesting free pass for train travel) in pdf formate (upto 500 KB).
  4. PwBD candidates should also upload passport size photograph as per above specifications only (and not the full body photograph used in the disability certificate).
