Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Selection Process 2024
Selection process of SSR (Med. Asst.) batch will include two stage i.e. Stage I - Shortlisting based on marks obtained in 10+2 PCB, Stage II - PFT, Written Examination and Recruitment Medical Examination (in designated centres of Indian Navy).
Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Exam Scheme 2024
- The question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) and objective type, comprising 100 question divided into four sections (English, Science, Biology and General Awareness/ Reasoning Ability) of 25 marks each.
- The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2 level and the syllabus for the examination is available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
- Duration of examination will be one hour.
- The candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in aggregate. The Indian Navy reserves the right to determine the pass marks in each Section and in aggregate.

- Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Motion of system of particles and Rigid body/ Gravitation.
- Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, Heat Thermodynamics, Oscillations, Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity.
- Magnetic Effect of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic induction and alternating current, Electromagnetic waves.
- Optics, Dual nature of matter and Radiations, atomic nucleus/ solids and semiconductors devices, Principles of communication.
- Metals and Nonmetals, Organic Chemistry, Food, Nutrition and Health, Physiology and human diseases, Computer Science.
BIOLOGY:
- Sexual Reproduction in flowering plants, Male and Female reproductive system, Gametogenesis, Menstrual Cycle, Fertilisation and Implantation, Pregnancy and embryonic development.
- Parturition and lactation, Reproductive Health, Medical termination of pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and Infertility, Principles of inheritance and Variation.
- Mutation and genetic disorders, Molecular basis of inheritance, Regulation of Gene expression, human genome Project and DNA fingerprinting, Evolution, Human Health and Disease.
- Drug and alcohol abuse, microbes in human welfare, principles of biotechnology, Tools and processes of Recombinant DNA Technology, Biotechnology and its applications.

ENGLISH:
- Passage, Preposition, Correction of sentences, Change active to passive/ passive to active voice.
- Change direct to indirect/Indirect to direct, Verbs/ Tense/ Non finites, Punctuation.
- Substituting phrasal verbs for expression, synonyms and antonyms, meaning of difficult words.
- Use of adjective, Compound preposition, Determiners (use of a, the, any etc), use of pronouns.
GENERAL AWARENESS:
- Culture and Religion, Geography: Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland Harbours, Freedom Movement.
- Sports: Championships/ Winners/ Terms/ No of players, Defence, Wars and neighbours, Current Affairs.
- Important National Facts about India Heritage, Arts, Dance, History, National Language, Bird, Animal, Song, Flag, Monuments, Capitals and currencies.
- Common names, Full forms and abbreviations, Discoveries, Disease and Nutrition, Award and Authors, Eminent Personalities.
