Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) invites online applications for recruitment to the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) for 5696 vacancies in pay level-2 for Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No 01/2024. All eligible and interested Indian citizens can apply online at Railway RRB recruitment official website recruitmentrrb.in from 20th January 2024 to till the application last date 19th February 2024 for ALP recruitment in all Railway Recruitment Boards.

(A.) Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/ SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/ Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio &TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic. (OR)
Matriculation/ SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above (OR)
(B.) Matriculation / SSLC plus three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering (OR)
Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.
Note: Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of Diploma in Engineering.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) in all notified Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) for 5696 vacancies in pay level-2. The last date for submission of application is 19th February 2024. The recruitment process shall comprise of the following stages:
Shortlisting of candidates for the Second Stage CBT shall be done RRB-wise at the rate of 15 (fifteen) times the vacancies for that RRB (may increase or decrease as per requirement of the Railway Administration). It will be based on their merit in CBT-1. Marks will be normalized in all the stages of exam that involve multiple shifts. The shortlisted candidates for CBT-2 shall be informed through official RRB websites as well as via SMS and email (to their registered mobile number and email ID) to download their E-call letters for appearing in CBT-2.
CBT-1 will only be a screening exam for shortlisting eligible candidates for CBT-2 based on their normalized marks and merit.
Shortlisting of candidates for CBT-2 shall be done RRB-wise and community wise as per their normalized marks and merit in CBT-1.
Total number of candidates to be shortlisted for CBT-2 shall be limited to 15 times the number of vacancies notified against each RRB.
Questions for CBT-1 and CBT-2 will be available in English, Hindi and 13 regional Indian languages (viz., Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu). Accordingly, candidates must choose their medium of examination from any one amongst those listed in the ONLINE application form. CBT-1 and CBT-2 questions will be displayed in the language opted and in English. However, CBAT will be conducted only in English and Hindi.
