Selection Process of Bihar Police Constable

  • After the collection of applications, the applications will be scrutinized and written examination will be organized for the candidates whose applications are found correct.
  • Merit list for selection for appointment to the post of constable in Bihar Police / Bihar Military Police and other units 'combined' on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidate in all the three events, viz. running, high jump and shot put under physical efficiency test. CSBC Constable Syllabus and Test Pattern 2023

The standard of the written test will be that of 10th class (Matric) or its equivalent level of the Bihar School Examination Board and the questions will be of objective type. The written test will be of 100 marks.

Question Paper One question paper of two hours duration will consist of 100 questions in which one (01) mark will be given for each correct answer.

Syllabus: The standard of the written test will be that of the 10th class (Matric) or its equivalent level of the Bihar School Examination Board. The written test will have objective type questions related to 1. Hindi, 2. English, 3. Mathematics, 4. Social Science (History, Geography, Civics, Economics), 5. Science (Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany), 6. General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

CSBC Constable Cut off Date 2023

It is clarified here that the cut-off date for age limit, educational qualification and date of training is fixed as 01.08.2022 for all reservation category candidates and home guard candidates.

Bihar Police Constable Medical Test 2023

According to the Bihar Police Manual, 1978 Form No. 103, medical examination of all the selected candidates will be done by the appointing authority before appointment. Eye, color blindness, hearing power and stuttering will also be tested. It will be mandatory for the candidates to be found fit in the medical examination for appointment. Candidates found unfit in the medical examination will not be appointed.

  1. Photograph of the applicant, in color and taken within two months, with a white background, between 15 to 25 kb, in .jpg/ .jpeg/ .gif format, and
  2. Signature in English and Hindi (in black and blue ink) separately, between 15 to 25 kb, in .jpg/ .jpeg/ .gif format, which should be on white background, it is mandatory to scan and upload such photo and signature .

  1. To fill the online application form, the candidate will go to the website csbc.bih.nic.in of Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) and go to 'Bihar Police' tab or Advts by Group and click on Adv No 01/2023.
  2. In the first part of the online application form, the candidate is first registered. In this sequence, information regarding candidate's name, nationality, mobile number, e-mail ID, domicile of Bihar state, reservation category, gender, date of birth, priority of posts and being a home guard or not is taken. After that the payment process has to be completed. After successful registration, the registration number and password will be sent to the candidate through SMS / E-mail immediately through mobile phone and e-mail ID. Before making the payment, the candidate has the facility to edit his/her particulars.
  3. After successfully registering, after login with the registration number and password provided, in the second part of the online application form, the candidate has to give the desired information such as father's/ husband's name, mother's name, address and educational qualification etc. You have to agree to the announcement made. After this applicants will upload their photo and sign.
  4. In case of non-compliance of the instructions given regarding photo and signature, the online application form of the applicant will be cancelled. After uploading the photo and signature, the applicant can edit the completely filled online application form by clicking on the button of Edit Details before finally submitting it. Application details cannot be edited once confirmed and submitted. After submitting the application form, the applicant will receive a confirmation message (SMS / E-mail) on their registered mobile number / e-mail ID, only then the process of filling the application form will be considered complete. Considering the details of the finally submitted/surrendered application form correct, the Board will not allow any change in the application form. Candidates will now print the acknowledgment of their filled application form on A4 size paper, check it thoroughly and present it in future for any kind of correspondence or demand.
